ETHANOL OR MOONSHINE? in your car. It seems like the good old fashion stills have a place in todays competition with high oil and gasoline prices rising all of the time. The problem is, that farmers crops are favoring growing corn instead of wheat and other types of food crops. This is causing the rise of food costs in addition with other countries competing for oil. It seems that ethanol may not be the total fix, but will substitute the higher cost fuels that are otherwise controlled and dictitated? Ethanol is here, but is it here to stay? Maybe. Technology is constantly changing all of the time. Combined electric and gas vehicles are getting better fuel mileage all of the time. We're also in the new age of "nano" technology. Back in the old days, some people made moonshine and discovered good things about it. Ethanol ran the first cars ever made. It may or may not be here to stay, but it can run out cars and whatever else. We hope that farmers will continue to grow other seed crops besides corn. Ethanol continues to fill the need of a worldwide fuel consumption. If it gets worse, we will need the moonshine!, Maybe, but whatever the outcome is in the short term certainly helps now.

UFO or IFO? (California) They were in their backyard enjoying a night in their spa, like they did many nights before. On this night, something happened that changed their lives forever. He thought at first, that it was an passenger airliner. It was coming from the west, heading eastbound. The area is known for large body jets either leaving or approaching to land at a nearby major airport. He kep his attention to the craft because it had unusual bright lights. As it got closer, it appeared to slow down. It continued to slow and he became more alarmed, so he got his girlfriend's attention and pointed it out to her. They watched the craft show down until it seemed too slow to stay up in the air. It cam to a complete stop ( or hover ) in the air. Now they saw it. It was a circular disk shaped craft with four glowing domes at it's bottom end. It just stayed there. A commercial jet was on approach near the disk and the four domes went to black. As soon as the jet passed by the area, the four domes of the disk started to glow again. Some red sparks illuminated from the side of the disk, then the craft tilted vertical in the nighttime sky. It tilted again until it was horizontal. Some scattered clouds were in the area and covered the disk. When the coud had passed by, the disk was then gone. This is a true story and has been documented by the government

What is FACEBOOK & TWITTER reall all about? I recently joined at Facebook and immdiately noticed my classmates there, from high school. I added them as friends and a few others. I heard that millions of people are on this site. Where are the millions of people? Perhaps the millions of people are visiting and not actually on this website. As for Twitter, this website has a continous flow of people entering business information on its main webpage. It didn't take me long to understand that this site really does get a lot of people vising this site. The Facebook main page hardly changes, leading me to believe that the site is split into separate social groups or maybe its simply slow at this time. Perhaps the economy has something to do with it. Anyway, it seems clear to me that Facebook is a social network while Twitter is mostly business.

A new novel called The Revealing, written by Michael R. Hawkins is getting a lot of attention. Q: "What inspired you to write this story and are there possibly more novels on the way?" A: I initially started writing this story as a screenplay. When I finished it, the reality of making it into a film was more than I had, so I decided to explore further options. Hollywood has made films based on novels. You cannot solicit a script or screenplay to them if you are an independant. That is, unless they come to you. Of course, you will have to have what they want. A great story for a block buster film! So the decision to make The Revealing into a novel went into process. Three and a half years later, I finished my novel. I typed the whole story with two of my fingers. My story has a paradox to it and a well thought out plot. My goal was to write a unique story that no one has done before. I wrote this novel so the reader could imagine it as if watching it in a film or being there. My inspiration overall is from the gift I have been given, to create. I hope my readers will enjoy my story and I look forward to bringing you more".

IN MEMORY OF A GREAT FRIEND "LUCKY" At the pound, about 6 or 7 dogs were at the metal bars, looking through and barking. "Lucky" was in the far back, quiet, looking skyward. He was supposed to be put to sleep the next day. That was in 1996. At home, there were friends, waiting for him. Two dogs and cat. Over time, he became the keeper, licking, playing and caring for the other pets. By 2004, the last of his pet friends passed away. A new cat and dog were adopted and Lucky was again busy caring for them. In 2009, he was slowing down and his health started decline. He passed away on August 28, 2009. Friends come and go, but pets are always a friend..
